2011 Coach Education Programme

In Season Coach Education Programme  

Due to the success of our peripatetic summer programme we are extending our invitation for clubs to hold internal Coach Education workshops/courses throughout the early season period leading up to our second HKRFU/IRB Level 2 Course which is scheduled for the weekends of 7/8^th and 14/15^th January 2012 (both weekends).

Clubs are invited to send in requests for Coach Education Clinics/Courses to be organised at their own venues over this period with application criteria stipulated below:

1. A minimum of 15 coaches interested in joining the course,
2. Pitch space (half day) and classroom facilities (2 hours) on hand to deliver the theory modules. (Depending on course requirement)

If clubs can meet those criteria, we would be delighted to sample your hospitality, and deliver accredited IRB courses. However, if you are unable to gather appropriate numbers you may wish to consider other alternatives such as combining with other clubs to generate appropriate numbers, or simple apply to attend courses that other clubs have organised. Courses that have been arranged to date are listed below with contact details also provided for other clubs interested in hosting their own courses:

Coaches are required to have attained their Level 1 award before applying to attend the Intermediate and/or 7’s Courses.

N.B. Times and venues will be updated when we receive confirmation from the organising club. We are currently limited to the information they provide.

Course Costs

• Rugby Ready (3-4 Hours - Free of Charge)
• Under 8 Course (3-4 Hours- K$300 per person)
• IRB Level 1 Course (8 Hours- HK$600 per person)
• Intermediate Award (6-8 hours - $300 per person – Internal award up-skilling coaches who aspire to the IRB Level 2)
• IRB Level 2 Award (20 hours – $800 per person)
