The representative youth squads identification programme for the 2010-11 season will commence with player assessments being held on Saturday 27th September at Tai Hang Tung.
The screening process has been refined to allow our national coaches to have a longer period working with more players before selecting the representative training squad.

The National U20s Sevens Squad were named runners-up at the ARFU Junior Sevens Championships after losing to the hosts Malaysia14:34in the final in Johor Bahru, Malaysiatoday. Still, National U20s Sevens Head Coach Alex Gibbs were pleased about the performance of the young squad, saying, "On the back of some great performances in the fifteens tournament, I was very pleased that these players managed to achieve what they did this weekend."

Hong Kong U20s sevens squad beat Singapore28:0 at the last round-robin match this morning and had a three-tries-to-two victory over the Singaporeans in the semi final.
The young national sevens squad will face the hosts Malaysiain the final this evening to decide who will be crowned the ARFU U20s Sevens Champions.

Hong Kong National U20s sevens squad won their opener against Uzbekistan39:0 at the ARFU U20s Sevens Championships today.
In the second game, Hong Kong U20s defeated Brunei33:0. The young lads beat Kazakhstan28:5 in the third game. Hong Kongfaced and lost to hosts Malaysia5:17for the last game on Day 1. Paul Bosco scored a try for the team.

The National U20s Sevens Squad are on the way to the quest for the ARFU Junior Sevens Championships in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Hong Kong will join five Asian national teams from Brunei, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Uzbekistan as well as the hosts Malaysia. All games will be played at Johor Bahru City Council Ground, 9-10 July.

The defending ARFU U20s Asian Champions and reigning Junior World Rugby Trophy runners-up Japan had a 38:8 win over Hong Kong in the final showdown at the Hong Kong Football Club last Saturday. In the opening match, Thailand defeated Sri Lanka by 51:39.

Japan and Hong Kong both opened their ARFU U20s Asian Championship with unconvincing wins over Sri Lanka and Thailand respectively at Hong Kong Football Club on Saturday.
Asian champions Japan defeated Sri Lanka 54-29, conceding three tries to the islanders in the last quarter of the game while they were scoreless. In the other game, Hong Kong turned in a scrappy performance to outlast Thailand 37-17.

As far as front-rowers Carl Rojens and Hong Pak-to go, they have already sipped the sweet taste of life at the top of the tree having represented the Hong Kong senior team on the tour of Europe last December. Hong Kong National U20’s boys are looking forward to taking on the three top U20 teams in Asia as they bid to qualify for the IRB U20 World Rugby Trophy 2012.
