About Women's Rugby in Hong Kong

Women's rugby is a well-established part of the Hong Kong rugby community, with a growing domestic league, national representative teams at 15s, 7s and U19 levels, and a highly successful annual International 7s Tournament.

Women's rugby continues to grow in Hong Kong. In 2009/10, the HKRFU G4S Women's League features 10 teams in two divisions.  Six teams will play in the burgeoning Women's XVs League:  Manulife Causeway Bay Phoenix, DeA, Gai Wu, Revolution and combined club sides HKFC/Tai Po Dragons and HKCC Aberdeen/Kowloon. A further 4 clubs (DeA, Tai Po Dragons, Causeway Bay and a combined Valley/City side) are participating in a Women's Tens competition in 2009/10. The HKRFU Domestic Women's league starts on Saturday, 3 October, 2009.

In addition to Women's Senior Rugby, the HKRFU offers rugby opportunities for young women and girls at Schools and Youth and Mini Rugby levels.
