1 June 2013 saw two of the most iconic brands in World Rugby serve up a showpiece match in Hong Kong Stadium. The British & Irish Lions, a combined team of the best players from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales dominated 59-8 against the Barbarians, the world’s most famous invitation side.
Former HKRU Chairman Trevor Gregory added: “We are proud to be hosting this truly unique rugby occasion. It will be an honour to welcome the British & Irish Lions and the Barbarians for a fixture that continues their remarkable legacy.”
