Our week three #localhero is the brilliant Catherine Lumsden, the founder of Catherine’s Puppies, a rescue shelter for abandoned and strayed dogs based in Sai Kung. Since its inception, Catherine’s Puppies has been providing the best possible care for rescued dogs until they find their forever homes.  Apart from providing daily care to rescued dogs, Catherine’s Puppies delivers the important message of “Adopt, Don’t Shop” to the community through adoption events, volunteer recruitment and regular updates on social media.

Jordanne and Malcolm, two staff members from Hong Kong Rugby Union, have adopted their puppies Loki and Harley from Catherine and couldn’t be happier!

“I have so much respect for Catherine and how much effort she puts in to ensure all her rescue pups go to loving homes. I highly recommend checking out one of her adoption days or supporting her shelter by donating if you can!” said Jordanne, the foster of Loki.
