The Hong Kong Rugby Union wishes to clarify any possible confusion surrounding the ticket allocation for youth and mini rugby clubs to the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens 2016.

Demand for tickets far exceeds supply and we continue to prioritise the members of our rugby community in allocating tickets. Over 5,500 tickets were allocated to the Hong Kong Mini Rugby Football Union last year and this number has not been reduced for 2016.

Children’s tickets will not be available in the public ticket ballot; however, children’s tickets will still be distributed to member clubs of the Hong Kong Mini Rugby Football Union as in the past.

Child tickets will however, only be available for Friday and Saturday of Sevens weekend; these are the days when the vast majority of the mini showcase games and the March Past takes place.

The Hong Kong Rugby Union will no longer sell children’s tickets for the Sunday of the Sevens. This change of policy was widely canvassed and agreed to by the Mini Rugby Clubs some months ago.
