An exciting new programme was launched at a ceremony on Saturday 21st September at Po Leung Kuk Anita LL Chan (Centenary) School in To Kwa Wan attended by Po Leung Kuk Chairman CN Ma and HKRU Directors Fred Au and Kim Lam.  “PLK Buddy Rugby” is a 2 year initiative that will bring students with special education needs together with those from mainstream schools using sport as a way of breaking down prejudice and barriers and building friendship and understanding.  It is the product of a successful pilot scheme trialled last year, and marks the latest chapter in the ongoing partnership between Po Leung Kuk, Hong Kong’s biggest education charity, and the HKRU Community Foundation.

Yoyo Lee, the Foundation’s Inclusive and Participation Officer for Special Education Needs, said "We are really excited to get this programme launched – we are strong believers in the value of inclusivity and PLK Buddy Rugby is all about supporting that."
