NAN FUNG GROUP | AIRSIDE HONG KONG PREMIERSHIP: GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS PREVIEW

發佈於 [日期]
Hong Kong’s domestic rugby season comes to a close on Saturday with the Grand Championship Finals Day at King’s Park Sports Ground. This year features four matches, an increase from last year’s triple-header, with the addition of the Women’s Premiership A Final. Both Men’s and Women’s Premierships have completed 15 round regular seasons that began in October – a format that saw all teams play one another three times – before last weekend’s Semi-Finals.
The action kicks off at 12:30 PM with the Men’s Premiership A Final, between last year’s finalist HKFC Natixis Dragons and Milwaukee Hong Kong Scottish Nomads, who finished two points higher than HKFC in the league standings this year.
Following this at 2:30 PM, the Women’s Premiership A Final will see league winners Kroll USRC Tigers Women 2 take on Clement Shield/VetiVa Gai Wu Hawkes who put in an impressive performance last week to beat Societe Generale Valley Reds in the semi-finals.
At 4:30 PM, the Women’s Premiership Final will take place between league winners Societe Generale Valley RFC, aiming for their 14th Grand Championship title in the past 17 seasons, and league runners-up Kroll USRC Tigers Women who finished fourth in the league last year.
The day concludes with the Men’s Premiership Final at 6:30 PM, where league winners HKFC Natixis Club – who have already won 11 Grand Championship titles – will face league runners-up Societe Generale Valley RFC, who hold the second most titles in the Men’s Premiership with 7, though their last win in the Grand Final was in 2018.
