Round 4 of the 2025/26 Nan Fung Group | AIRSIDE Hong Kong Premiership saw the return of some ring-fenced representative team players in the Men’s Prem, while both leagues had players in action in the HKCR Dragons showcase matches on Friday night, which all of the clubs should be proud of.
In the Women’s Premiership, Societe Generale Valley RFC, HKFC Natixis Ice, and Kroll USRC Tigers Women were victors.
In the Men’s Premiership, Societe Generale Valley RFC, Kroll USRC Tigers RFC and Kowloon Rugby Club were winners over the weekend.
For both Premierships, Societe Generale Valley RFC remain at the top of the logs and are still the only undefeated teams this season.
Women’s Premiership
Societe Generale Valley RFC 86-3 Causeway Sandy Bay
Log leaders Societe Generale Valley RFC ran in 14 tries and condemned Causeway Sandy Bay to another defeat as the last season’s defending Grand Final champions are looking unstoppable at the moment, as they racked up their fourth straight win of the season.
Who else but try-scoring machine Jayme Nuku got the first try in the opening minutes and added a second at the end of the half, with Ho Yee Mak, Hoi Ni Cheung, Hasting Leiataua, and Crystal Mayes all crossing for five points to lead 43-3 after Amber Lawless got the only points via a penalty for the visitors.
The second-half tries were scored by Haruka Uematsu (2), Grace Hamilton, Hoi Ni Cheung, Szeting Li, Zoe Smith, and Grace Gago.
Valley have now scored 262 and only conceded 22 points and have 19 log points. Causeway Sandy Bay are winless and have leaked far too many points while only scoring 25 in total thus far this season.
Valley CCO and Head Coach Bella Milo said a few weeks ago of last season, “I think we left happy that we won, but disappointed in how we performed. The messaging around that is our goal for this year is to be better than before.” That messaging seems to have been heard by the squad.
HKFC Natixis Ice 70-0 Kowloon Rugby Club
HKFC bounced back from last week’s defeat to the table-toppers and put in a big win at home, leading 31-0 at the break and ending up 70-0 winners with the side scoring 12 tries.
For Kowloon, they have lost all matches heavily now and have let in 257 points while scoring 5. There are rumours that the team will have new signings join later this season, and there is only one more round until the first international break of the season.
HKFC Natixis Ice try scorers were Octavia Nanai-Iafeta, Annie Buntine, Georgina Tasker, Zoe Teece, and Katrina Mathers in the first half. The second half saw scores from Caitlin Morrell, Katrina Mathers, Georgina Tasker (2), Caitlin Morrell, and Niamh Orchard - with Tasker securing that hat-trick with five minutes left in the match.
It will be a confidence-building win for Hannah Edwards as the Head of Women’s Rugby at Hong Kong Football Club, as they have their sights set on the Grand Championship final on 14 March 2026. She said of the Prem in Hong Kong, “The exposure and the experiences of the imported players are making the league much more visible. I think that's helping the level of the league go up within the women's space massively.”

Kroll USRC Tigers Women 29-20 Clement Shield/VetiVa Gai Wu Falcons
Kroll USRC Tigers Women were big winners last week, as were Clement Shield/VetiVa Gai Wu Falcons, and the teams were second and third on the table coming into the match, so it set up the closest fixture of the round, with the Tigers edging out Gai Wu 29-20.
Blaine Apollos made her Prem debut for the victors this past round.
The win makes it three from four for a great start to the season that sees them remain second on the log, tied with HKFC Natixis Ice with log points but with a better points differential. In the next round, it's those two teams who will square up to determine which side goes into the break with the upper hand.
Clement Shield/VetiVa Gai Wu Falcons have the daunting task of taking on the table-toppers Societe Generale Valley RFC in round 5 away from home.

Men’s Premiership
Societe Generale Valley RFC 24-12 HKU Sandy Bay RFC
Societe Generale Valley RFC made it four wins to start the season as they defeated the defending champions, who are taking time to gel with the new-look squad this season.
The hosts were 10-0 up at halftime in a low-scoring match, before rounding out the win 24-12, outsourcing HKU Sandy Bay RFC three tries to two.
HKU Sandy Bay RFC wing Cam Taylor was one of their standouts, as he made 12 carries, made 3 tackles, beat 3 defenders and set up a try.
The team leading the Men’s Prem will be looking to make it a clean sweep as they face bottom-placed Milwaukee Hong Kong Scottish in Round 5 before the season’s first break.

Kroll USRC Tigers RFC 49-30 Milwaukee Hong Kong Scottish
Kroll USRC Tigers RFC made it three wins on the bounce, while Milwaukee Hong Kong Scottish remained winless thus far in this high-scoring Prem game.
The hosts led 21-9 at the break before powering away in the second half, scoring seven tries in the win, which saw them occupy second on the log.
It was in fact the visitors who led 6-0 after the first quarter, after Thomas Wilson slotted two penalties (and a third later on), but tries from Joseph Knight, Justin Eden, and in-form Lindokuhle Ncusane saw them with their noses in front.
The second period had tries from Shiven Dukhande, Blake Elliot, Hakaraia Richards-Coxhead for the Tigers. Thomas Wilson and Ruben Cronjé scored back-to-back, with both converted by Peter Jericevich to make it 42-23.
Kroll USRC Tigers RFC Justin Eden bagged his brace, and there was a final score for Hong Kong Scottish’s Harry Rice.

HKFC Natixis Club 18-36 Kowloon Rugby Club
Kowloon Rugby Club sprung the surprise upset by beating HKFC Natixis Club away from home. The visitors were leading 12-10 just before the break with one try, an intercept from their own try line, and the centre ran the length of the field to score. HKFC slotted a late penalty in the half to lead 13-12 at the break.
Kowloon scored the first try in the second period to retake the lead, but HKFC came straight back with a try of their own. Kowloon’s Dylan White, playing at fullback, converted a penalty to lead 22-18 as the side caused chaos in the midfield and had great interplays to open up the HKFC defence.
Two more tries in the final third of the game saw Kowloon seal the win as they seek something special in their 50th anniversary season.
CCO and Head Coach Lewis Wilson had said, “This year, we've tried to freshen it up a bit. It's our 50th season, and we've sort of ripped up quite a bit of what we've done previously as a coaching group and playing group, but kept our core identity. We want to be a much more consistent outfit this season.”
