- Hong Kong China men’s and women’s teams are both chasing qualification to the HSBC Sevens Challenger 2025

Hong Kong China Men’s and Women’s 7s squads have been confirmed for the second leg of the Asia Rugby Sevens Series 2024 taking place at the Hangzhou Normal University, China on 21-22 September.
Our men secured a dominant win in the first leg in Korea two weeks ago, while the women impressed to finish as runners-up, beating Japan along the way.
The Asia Rugby Sevens Series takes place over three legs, with a final leg to be played in Thailand on 9-10 November. Hong Kong China men’s and women’s teams are both chasing qualification to the HSBC Sevens Challenger 2025 as follows:
- In the men’s competition, the top two sides at the end of the competition will qualify for the Challenger
- In the women’s competition, as both Japan and China have qualified for the SVNS Series 2024-2025, the top sides at the end of the competition (apart from the SVNS qualified teams) will earn qualification to the Challenger
