SWIRE PROPERTIES CORPORATE TOUCH TOURNAMENT RETURNS FOR ITS 14TH EDITION

SWIRE PROPERTIES CORPORATE TOUCH TOURNAMENT RETURNS FOR ITS 14TH EDITION

PUBLISHED ON 12 SEP 2025

The Swire Properties Corporate Touch Tournament is set to return for its 14th edition this Saturday 13 September, at King’s Park Sports Ground. This year’s event will showcase 15 teams and over 200 players – a tournament that is always great for team building, networking and physical activity.

The tournament features three pools of five teams. Each team will compete in a round-robin format, playing every team in their pool, which will ultimately determine their final pool rankings. Based on these rankings, teams will advance to the Shield, Bowl, Plate or Cup semi-finals, leading to exciting knockout rounds.

Defending Cup champions, The Yuen Yuen Institute, who had a big supporters group last year, will compete against Cathay, Clement Shield/Vevita, last year’s Bowl winners Hang Seng Bank, and the Super Sisters – a team of domestic helpers who are returning for the third time. In Pool B, the host team Swire Properties will face off against Standard Chartered, PAG, the Rugby For Good Deaf Team (the 2023 Cup winners), and Fidelity. While Pool C sees last year's Plate winners HSBC, take on JLL, Jardines, and new entries Tsunami Sports and the HKCR Business Team.

Chief Executive of Swire Properties, Tim Blackburn, shared: “Now in our 14th year as Title Sponsor, our mission with Hong Kong China Rugby and Hong Kong China Touch remains the same – to foster positive social change.”

“This event is an example of community-building in its finest form and is part of our greater efforts to create vibrant places where people can thrive. Of course, this annual gathering would not be possible without our numerous partners and all the players, who are helping to grow this sport and make it more accessible to everyone in Hong Kong.”

The tournament each year raises HK $100,000 for Rugby For Good, the official charity of Hong Kong China Rugby. Rugby For Good was founded in 2013 to enhance well-being and social inclusion through various community initiatives and serves as the first sports charity in Hong Kong, providing programmes across 18 districts and reaching over 225 local schools and NGO groups. In 2024, Rugby For Good implemented 16 active projects that benefited more than 32,000 individuals in need throughout the community.

“I’m pleased to welcome back the Rugby For Good Deaf Team and the Super Sisters,” added Tim,

“these dedicated players highlight the importance of working together to promote greater inclusivity and accessibility for rugby in Hong Kong and beyond.”

We encourage spectators to join us at King’s Park Sports Ground to cheer on the teams as the day promises to be fun-filled and action-packed, with various engagement activities for all attendees.
