HONG KONG CHINA MEN'S XVs SET FOR JAPAN TRAINING CAMP
PUBLISHED ON 23 OCT 2024
Hong Kong China Men’s XVs head to Japan this weekend (24-27 October) for a four-day training camp in Fukuoka.
30 players and 10 coaching staff have been confirmed for the camp, which leads the team into their two-match test series against Brazil in November. The series serves as key preparation for the 2025 Asia Rugby Championship, which will reward the winners with automatic qualification for the Rugby World Cup in 2027. Hong Kong China will host their South American counterparts on Saturday 9 November at Hong Kong Football Club and on Saturday 16 November at the Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground (tickets are on sale now priced at $100 HK).
The camp also continues to develop Hong Kong China Rugby’s broader relationship with the Japan Rugby Football Union (JRFU), after our women’s XVs also travelled to Fukuoka for a training camp in May ahead of the 2024 Asia Rugby Championship campaign.
The men’s camp will include joint training sessions with Kyushudenryoku KyudenVoltex of Japan Rugby Division 2 and LeRIRO Fukuoka of Japan Rugby Division 3.
