Hong Kong China Rugby (HKCR) is delighted to announce a new multi-year partnership with Castore. This collaboration will see Castore outfit the Hong Kong China’s 7s and 15s representative stars with top-tier playing, training and travel apparel, as well as introducing an exclusive range of supporters' leisurewear, replica and merchandise. The agreement means Castore will also be the official merchandise partner of the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens.

Castore utilises advanced engineering and unique technical fabrics to create premium performance sportswear – all designed to support elite performance. This aligns with HKCR’s core focus on competing at the international rugby’s highest stages and supporting the development of our teams and athletes, both integral parts of the organisation’s new 10-Year Strategic Plan

Under the philosophy of Better Never Stops, Castore’s range has taken the sports world by storm in recent years, spearheaded by high-profile partnerships in football, cricket, tennis and Formula One – as well as in rugby, where current kit partners include Bath, Saracens, Harlequins, Leinster, Ulster and Scarlets.

The new partnership with HKCR represents the best commercial deal for the organisation, while helping to positively drive our brand direction and maximise value for supporters and stakeholders.

Iwan Phillips, HKCR’s Head of Commercial Partnerships, is excited at the chance to work with Castore moving forward: “We are incredibly excited to embark on this new chapter with Castore. Their commitment to excellence and innovation aligns perfectly with our ambition to elevate Hong Kong China Rugby to new heights. This partnership is especially significant as the Castore brand makes its debut partnership in our region, and in doing so, it supports our growth in moving events to Kai Tak Sports Park and amplifying our reach into China’s Greater Bay Area.”

Ben Brown, Castore’s Teamwear General Manager, spoke of the opportunities the partnership with HKCR presents: “We’re incredibly proud to partner with Hong Kong China Rugby and to be named the official merchandise partner of the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens. This is a significant milestone for Castore as we enter the Asian market and work with such a prestigious organisation. We look forward to outfitting their teams with our high-performance apparel and contributing to the continued success of both Hong Kong China Rugby and the iconic Hong Kong Sevens. We’re excited to share more details about this partnership in the new year.”

Hong Kong China Rugby’s long-standing teamwear partnership with Kukri Sports will now come an end, with Phillips adding: “I would also like to acknowledge Kukri’s proud support of our representative teams, local leagues, community projects and the Hong Kong Sevens over the last 18 years. In doing so, they played a key role in our successes growing the game of rugby in Hong Kong.”

Fans will soon be able to access a new e-commerce platform, offering easier access to replica jerseys, an exciting range of men’s and women’s athleisure and training gear, as well as merchandise offerings. The full collection will be available early in 2025, with pre-orders and official kit launches starting later this year.
