Hong Kong China Rugby (HKCR), in collaboration with Hong Kong Land and Centricity, is proud to announce the second edition of the Hong Kong Sport and Sustainability Summit (HKSSS), set to take place on Wednesday 26 March 2025 at Centricity in LANDMARK. Building on the success of the inaugural 2024 summit, this year’s event will bring together a global community of leaders, decision-makers and passionate individuals committed to driving positive change through the power of sport.
The 2025 summit, themed “From Insight to Impact,” will focus on the critical intersection of sport and sustainability, exploring how the sports industry can contribute to societal and environmental well-being. The event will feature thought-provoking panel discussions, interactive sessions and networking opportunities designed to inspire actionable strategies for a more sustainable future in sports.
Event Highlights
1. Value of Sport Lunch
An annual tradition since 2013, the Value of Sport Lunch will return with the support of the New Zealand Consulate General and Laureus Sport for Good. This year’s lunch will feature world-renowned athletes and industry leaders discussing how sport can drive positive societal change. Past attendees have included representatives from leading corporations such as HSBC, Cathay Pacific, Richemont, AXA, AIG and Tencent, as well as philanthropic foundations like the Hong Kong Jockey Club and Kadoorie.
2. Panel Discussions
The summit will host a series of panel discussions, each addressing a critical aspect of sport and sustainability:
Why? Rethinking the Game:
This session will explore the role of sports in addressing environmental and social issues. Panellists will discuss the business case for sustainability in sports, the impact of climate change on the industry and how to meet the rising expectations of fans, players and employees.
Who? Playing our Part:
This panel will identify key stakeholders essential for advancing environmental, social and inclusivity initiatives within the sports sector. Discussions will include the role of athletes, stadiums like Kai Tak Sports Park and partnerships with corporate organisations such as Cathay Pacific, HSBC, and DHL.
What? Playing for the Future:
Panellists will explore how sports organisations can contribute to sustainability and social well-being, focusing on initiatives that promote behavioural change, community engagement and environmental responsibility.
How? A Playbook for Progress:
This session will outline actionable strategies for organisations to tackle sustainability challenges while unlocking new opportunities for community engagement. Topics will include data collection, target setting and measuring the impact of sustainability initiatives.

Rugby For Good
Rugby For Good is one of Hong Kong’s first sports-focused charities, with an unwavering determination to unite our community through sports. Rugby For Good was established as the Hong Kong Rugby Union Community Foundation (HKRUCF) in 2013 with support from Hong Kong China Rugby (HKCR).
Our mission is to empower young people with social and emotional skills, enabling them to actualise their potential through the power of sport and education. Hongkong Land

Launched in 2019, Centricity is an exclusive collection of spaces and services created to enhance working life for Hongkong Land tenants and their staff in Central, Hong Kong.
Centricity blends all-day dining (Catchic Bar & Restaurant), elegant event spaces (Concentric Event Space), a premium flexible office solution (Flex) and members’ privileges, all digitally linked through the Centricity App.
First launched in mid-2019, the Centricity App has enhanced tenants' daily experiences within Hongkong Land's Central Portfolio. App users can make restaurant bookings, order takeaways, monitor taxi queue times, check members’ events, book workplace services, arrange concierge services such as umbrella lending and shower room bookings, and receive privileges including select discounts at luxury stores and F&B outlets, among other features.
