HONG KONG CHINA 15s

HONG KONG CHINA 15s
Hong Kong China 15s teams compete in international rugby union competitions worldwide. As representative teams, both our men’s and women’s 15s showcase Hong Kong China’s rugby talent and skill on the global stage.

This includes playing in the annual Asia Rugby Championships, qualification tournaments for Men’s Rugby World Cups and Women’s Rugby World Cups and World Rugby international tournaments including the men’s World Rugby Nations Championship (inaugural edition set for 2026) and the women’s WXV competition (returning for 2026).

OUR TEAM PARTNERS

MEN'S 15s

Our representative programme is the highest calibre of men’s 15s rugby in Hong Kong, with Andrew Douglas as the Head of Technical Rugby and Head Coach. The programme combines strength, skill and conditioning sessions as well as full squad on-pitch training.

The coaching team and player cohort both have strong foundations within the six teams that make up the Nan Fung Group | SEWIT Men’s Hong Kong Premiership.

WOMEN’S 15s

In 2017, our women’s 15s became the first Hong Kong China senior representative side to compete at a Rugby World Cup. That tournament, held in Ireland, proved to be both an inspiration and the catalyst for the growth of women’s rugby in Hong Kong.

The foundation for continued success is the Nan Fung Group | SEWIT Women’s Hong Kong Premiership, which expanded to seven teams for the 2024-25 season and provides players with competitive rugby over a 17-week season. The women’s 15s programme is overseen by Royce Chan as Programme Lead, with Lewis Wilson acting as interim Head Coach for the 2025 Asia Rugby Women’s Championship.
