Through mini (4-11 y/o) and youth club rugby (12-17 y/o) together with our school programmes that are active in over 200 local schools - children are able to develop the fundamental skills of rugby in a safe, fun and structured way. Let’s play!

ABOUT MINI & YOUTH RUGBY

Our dynamic youth league includes 44 teams – with over 1,000 young and over 3,000 mini registered rugby players – spread across 27 clubs in Hong Kong. Teams also participate in any of the six annual festivals hosted by Valley Fort RFC, Tai Po RFC, Flying Kukris RFC, HKU Sandy Bay RFC and Hong Kong Football Club.

Mini clubs that form the Hong Kong Mini Rugby Football Union (HKMRFU) have training grounds conveniently located in regions across the city, including Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, the New Territories and the Islands.

RICHARD HAWKES TROPHY AND KIM LAM CUP

Since 2000, U12s have contested the Richard Hawkes Trophy, honoring the late judge and rugby coach Richard Hawkes. The season comprises two stages: five festivals with four pools (Cup, Plate, Bowl, Shield) and a final festival where rankings determine how the knockout stage plays out for each title.
