James is an Australian trained physiotherapist with a Masters in Strength and Conditioning. He joined the HKRU in 2018 and works predominantly with the Men’s and Women’s National Rugby VII’s teams. James is dedicated to enhancing the durability of all Hong Kong players and ensuring their return to peak performance following injury.
Henry John Elliott
Development Physiotherapist
Henry is a South-African trained Physiotherapist. He joined the HKRU in 2019.
His role involves working with all the National Age Grade Rugby 7s and 15s Rugby teams as well as the Woman’s National 15s team, ensuring all HKRU National players are provided with evidence-based physiotherapy enabling optimal recovery and rehabilitation for better player welfare and performance
Lydia Yu
Medical Administrator
Lydia joined HKRU in 2019, she is responsible for providing administrative assistance to the Player Welfare & Medical team.
This includes processing insurance claims, finance and budgeting, as well as helping players access medical assistance.
Callum Chia
Physiotherapist
Callum is an American and Hong Kong trained physiotherapist. He has been involved with the U20s program on tours around Asia, South America and Europe. He joined the HKRU full time in 2020 and currently works the the Elite Rugby Program and South China Tigers. He is dedicated to providing HKRU athletes with the tools to be resilient and competitive in a high performance environment.
