Events & Partnerships Manager

Job Summary

The HKRU is seeking a professional Events & Partnerships Manager with a genuine passion and commitment to delivering the highest standard of events and partner servicing.

 

The role will foster and strategically develop relationships with partners whilst managing the delivery and activation of contracted rights, the approval processes and the creation of partnership reviews and reporting.

 

The Events & Partnerships Manager will also require the ability to manage every aspect of event delivery from the planning stages through to review.

 

Specific responsibilities

  • Pro-actively look for ways to generate and assist event partnership leads and establish business opportunities for HKRU
  • Contribute to the overarching strategic vision of event partnership sales strategy
  • Build and maintain event partner relationships so to ensure regular updates are provided
  • Determine Partner ROI objectives and help create and manage integrated partnership programmes that will meet these objectives
  • Pro-actively plan and ensure the delivery of all contracted rights and benefits for all event partners. Work with the event operations, marketing and communications teams to ensure Partner requirements are met.
  • Create and maintain key reporting documents including status reports, case studies and partnership review documents
  • Provide oversight and support in the delivery of high class events through the coordination and management of external stakeholders, agencies, contractors, partners and event staff.

Event Operations Manager - Hong Kong Sevens

Job Summary

The HKRU are seeking an Events Operations Manager who will play an integral role in the operational planning, administration and delivery of the world famous Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens.

 

The role will manage every aspect of the operational delivery of the event from the planning and liaison with stakeholders; the acquisition and management of event contractors; overseeing the successful operational delivery during the event; and managing the event wrap up and review process.

 

Working as part of the Hong Kong Sevens Events team, the individual will be required to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, time management and the ability to execute tasks under event pressure with a high attention to detail.

 

Specific responsibilities

·         Event liaison with stakeholders to ascertain precise event requirements; including World Rugby, Stadium management and other external bodies

·         Acquisition, co-ordination and management of event contractors to deliver event requirements

·         Create and maintain event timelines to ensure all quotations, deliverables, tasks and deadlines are on track and met

·         Ensuring insurance, legal and health and safety obligations are adhered to through the formation and creation of safety and event evacuation plans

·         Managing staffing requirements, recruitment and supervision

·         Management of event budgets and administration

Business Development Manager

Job Summary

The HKRU is seeking a professional Business Development Manager with a genuine passion and commitment to delivering the partner servicing.

 

The role will support senior members of the team in the day-to-day management of key commercial partners whilst taking the lead on secondary tier partnerships and supplier accounts. He/she will oversee the delivery and activation of contracted rights, manage the approval process, deliver reports ranging from annual partnership reviews, rights trackers through to individual case studies as required.

 

Specific responsibilities

  • Work with the commercial team to identify business development opportunities and drive new client partnerships & revenues
  • Assist with generating sponsorship leads and business opportunities for HKRU
  • Engage with partners and suppliers, build relationships, determine their marketing objectives and help create and manage integrated programmes that will meet these objectives – these will include IP, media, promotional and event-based assets
  • Maintain and update key reporting documents including status reports, case studies and end of contract review documents
  • Ensure all sponsor communication by HKRU is effective, bringing key internal stakeholders into discussions where applicable but managing ownership of the communication, action requirements and delivery of activity
  • Provide support to the Commercial teams in the delivery of high class events and manage partner relationships
  • Constantly strive to improve operational effectiveness including any internal workflows
