Refereeing

Get involved!

The HKRFU encourage all interested participants to take up the whistle!  Whether you are an active match official, a volunteer, club adminstrator or taking up the whistle for the first time, you have a pivotal role to play in making Hong Kong Rugby A Game for All.

For current players and officials, reffereeing is a great way to give something back to the Game and to help widen participation in the sport and make Hong Kong Rugby A Game for All.

For more information on how you can become a rugby referee, please visit the website of the Hong Kong Society of Rugby Football Union Referees.

About the HKSRFUR

The Society was formed in 1957 and adopted a logo comprising a silver dragon on a green background with the letters 'HKSRFUR' underneath.

Today the society has more that 50 active Referees and Assessors serving 15 rugby clubs comprising more than 35 senior men's teams, 10 senior women's teams, as well as schools and mini rugby teams. Each season there are over 350 appointments to games within Hong Kong and many additional appointments to overseas tournaments and fixtures.

The society, fully supported by a full-time Development Officer, organises Training and Development courses for Referees and Assessors at all levels of men's, women's, junior and mini games.
