19TH ASIAN GAMES – EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

22nd Sep 2023

The 19th Asian Games are set to kick off this weekend, and what better way to start than with a fantastic few days of rugby sevens. Our men’s team are defending their gold medal from 2018, while our women are on the hunt for their first podium finish. We’ve put together a checklist of everything that Hong Kong China fans need to know!

Pools: The men’s competition has four pools. Hong Kong China Men’s will take on Philippines and Malaysia in Pool A. Pool games are played on Sunday 24th September, while quarter finals and ranking finals will take place Monday 25th September, and semi-finals and cup finals will be held Tuesday 26th

The women’s competition only has two pools, and Hong Kong China Women’s will be up against Japan, India and Singapore in Pool F. Due to only having two pools, there are no quarter finals. Pool play concludes on Monday 25th, and the top team from each pool will play the second ranked team from the opposite pool in a semi-final on Monday 25th. Cup finals will be played on Tuesday 26th
