[Hong Kong, 17 November 2022]:  The Hong Kong China Rugby teams carry an official flag with them to all international competitions. This flag is displayed in stadiums where possible or carried with the team. 

The flag in question in the photo, circulated by media without request for response from the HKCR, came from out of the stands from a Hong Kong travelling supporter when the Korea Rugby Union informed the team that they would play the China anthem following the cup final and during the prize presentation. 
 
The HKRU is confident that there is no malicious intent around the provision of this flag and remains thankful for the supporter that travelled to South Korea to show their support for Team Hong Kong.
