Hong Kong China Men’s XV faced off against the ACT Brumbies Runners earlier today, Saturday April 27, at GIO Stadium in Canberra. This was played on the final day of a week-long tour, with the ACT Brumbies Runners winning the match 65-0. The clash served as a curtain raiser for the Super Rugby matchup between ACT Brumbies and New Zealand’s Hurricanes. 

The encounter came at the conclusion of an intensive training week for the team, who were hosted by the Australian Institute of Sport. A 29-man squad alongside 10 coaching staff, led by Head Coach Andrew Douglas, made the trip to Canberra to create a week-long professional environment for the group. This focused around skills, strength and strategy while serving as key preparation ahead of June’s Asia Rugby Championship.
