KOWLOON'S HAPPY CAMPERS!

03rd Aug 2017

25 boys and girls from Hong Kong are currently having the trip of a life time, enjoying the 3rd annual Tony Ho Summer Rugby Camp at Mount St Mary's College in Yorkshire.

Thanks to the generosity of Kowloon Rugby Club, again boys from Kowloon Lions, Sai King Stingrays and Operation Breakthrough have been offered this fantastic opportunity, and this time they are joined by 5 young girls from Po Leung Kuk whose participation has been supported by Societe Generale.

This year over 130 youngsters from the UK, France, Chile and Hong Kong will be put through their paces by professional coaches from the Natal Sharks club from South Africa, before having the opportunity to experience some of the other cultural highlights of northern England, such as Alton Towers!

The Camp is named in the memory of former Kowloon and Hong Kong Under 20 player Tony Ho, who attended Mount St Marys; he was later tragically murdered whilst studying at university in UK.

Funds for the Camp are raised each year at the Lai Si Kowloon RugbyFest with additional contribution from Operation Breakthrough and the HKRU - if you'd like to know more about the Camp please contact Clive on [email protected]
