RECKITT AND DETTOL EXTENDS SUPPORT TO MEN’S AND WOMEN’S PREMIERSHIPS AND PROVIDES EXTRA PROTECTION FOR HONG KONG RUGBY’S RETURN TO PLAY

Reckitt and its brand Dettol today announced it is deepening its partnership with the Hong Kong Rugby Union, in becoming the Principal Partner of the Men’s and Women’s Premierships. The competitions will be named the Dettol Hong Kong Men’s Premiership and Dettol Hong Kong Women’s Premiership for the 2021/22 season, which kicks off on 18 September.

 

Signed by Reckitt, the maker of Dettol, the partnership sees Reckitt and Dettol as the official Hygiene Partner of the Hong Kong Rugby Union (HKRU) help implement enhanced hygiene protocols for the Premierships, promoting positive public health and hygiene practices, and providing easy access to hygiene products for participants, players, supporters, officials, and the HKRU community.

 

The partnership also sees the company supporting hygiene communications across other HKRU initiatives, including the community-wide Return To Rugby initiative, which sets clear guidelines and safety instructions for rugby training and activities during COVID-19. Dettol will also be a partner for the return of the 2022 ‘New Year’s Day Youth Rugby Tournament’, Hong Kong’s premier annual youth competition for over six decades, as well as the Principal Partner of the ‘Boys Youth Grand Finals’ event in early 2022.

The HKRU welcomed its deepening relationship with one of Hong Kong’s most prominent disinfectant brands.
