SEVENS’ NIGHT OF CELEBRATION

Hong Kong China Rugby held the Sevens’ Night of Celebration last Wednesday, to celebrate an exceptional year of achievement  for our Men’s and Women’s Sevens teams.

Both teams are hard at work preparing for the Asian Games, looking forward with eager anticipation to proudly representing Hong Kong, China at Hangzhou.


Chris Brooke, Chairman of Hong Kong China Rugby, appreciates the commitment of the Sevens’ teams and looks forward to seeing the teams to notch up another successful achievement in Asian Games.


VIPs included Adam Webb, Brand Partnerships Manager of HSBC, Paul Cheng, Ag Commissioner for Sports Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, Edgar Yang, Honorary Secretary- General and Tong Choi, Deputy Chief Executive HKSI attended the ceremony.


The night ended with a Q&A session with Women’s Sevens captains Melody Li and Natasha Olson-Thorne and Men’s Sevens captain Max Woodward about the teams’ preparation for the Asian Games.


We are delighted to have the winners of the Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation Grantham outstanding awards and the Bank of China Bauhinia Bowl Outstanding Athlete Awards. Our Sevens’ players present signed rugby balls to the awards winners as a recognition of their performance.
